Pastors and Music ministers, the following information is provided to give you a better understanding of our family music ministry.
Lindley Creek Bluegrass is our family band consisting of Dad, Mom, and three children. All five members of the band are Christian and have a clear testimony of salvation. We travel full time and have no income outside of this ministry. We are members of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon, Mo.
We want to be very up front about our ministry to your church. It is our desire to lift up Christ in all that we do and encourage families to spend more time together. Our goal is to be a blessing to believers and provide a time of uplifting the Lord. We believe music has the ability to move a person. We choose to move people in a positive direction. God is good!
Our goal is to be a help to your ministry. We want to encourage not only the congregation and visitors but the staff as well. During our time in front of the congregation we will give a brief witness about what God has done in our life and the need of everyone to receive him. The music and the stories in the songs provide a wonderful way to speak to the hearts of the people.
There are many details and questions that can be worked out as needed. Below is a partial list of information you may need and you are welcome to call with any questions you may have. We have played in many types of settings and situations. We are very flexible and willing to work with you on any need outside of the ones listed below. Here are some of the types of events we have done in the past: Sunday morning service – singing all or part, Sunday evening service or Mid week service, Weekend or weekday concert or outreach event- 2 hour concert with a short break in the middle, Revival or Camp Meetings- Family Camp or conference – usually a few songs each night of the meeting, Teaching Sunday school or Junior Church, Preaching. Or whatever other need you have.
We will come to your church on a love offering basis ; however, we ask you to please keep some things in mind. We have financial responsibilities just as anyone else. In addition to that is our fuel expense. We travel full time and it is hard to know from where we will be traveling, so please check our schedule to see when we will be close to your area. We prefer not to travel all night to make it to an event or meeting if there is any way around it. We want to help you build your church! The best way is for your people to cover local advertising to encourage people outside of your church to attend. We can provide flyers at your request.
Sound systems: We typically use our sound system as we are familiar with it and have it adjusted to meet our needs. If you have a good sound system with phantom power and sound technician, we will be willing to use your system and our microphones. We need 3 microphone lines and one unpowered monitor channel.
Accommodations needed: We try to be easy to keep. If we need to spend the night at your Church, we ask you provide for us electrical hookup of at least 20 amp, 30 preferred. We would also like to have access to showers and restrooms.
