Lindley Creek Bluegrass Lindley Creek Bluegrass binds a strong tie between music and family to produce an entertainingly high-energy show. With Dad (John Rob) on the upright bass to keep the show moving along with witty banter, you are sure to leave smiling! John sings lead and tenor and well as drives the bus. Mom (Kathie) is the co-producer of the band and plays the rhythm guitar as well as singing a powerfully sweet vocal lead and harmony. Kathie also writes much of the material that Lindley Creek performs. John Rob jokes that Kathie also shoulders the difficult task of being wardrobe coordinator for the band. (which includes washing his socks for the past 18 years they’ve been married). Tate is the oldest child in the family. At only 16 years of age, he picks a mean banjo and acoustic lead guitar. He is the student of Lonnie Hoppers, who was a member of Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys in the 1960’s. Tate enjoys hunting and reading westerns in his spare time. Jase is the middle child and at 12 years old, does a great job singing lead and playing the fiddle. He loves to fish and be outside whenever he can. The youngest of the family is Katie. She is 10 years old and is learning the play mandolin. She is a strong lead singer and tries very hard to keep her brothers “in line”. Katie likes to draw and sew. Lindley Creek is a family band “plus one”. Robbie Bryant came to the band in 2004 and sings a solid lead and all harmony parts. Although he plays most bluegrass instruments, he plays mandolin with the band currently. He lives in Bolivar, MO with his wife, Julie and son, Jaron. Lindley Creek is just finishing their 3rd CD entitled “Raindrops” which is a mixture of traditional bluegrass and gospel bluegrass songs. Their previous project, "Walk on the Water" is all-gospel with 5 of the songs penned by Kathie. The first CD, "Wadin' on In" was recorded in 2004. Lindley Creek tours the Midwest appearing at festivals, churches, community events and private parties.
